Admission-free Sunday in Berlin museums from July

A model project of Berlin’s museums will start in July. For six months, there will be free admission to the capital’s cultural sites on the first Sunday of each month, as berlin.de reports. About 60 museums with different sponsorships will be involved, covering the topics of culture, art, design, religion, history, nature, everyday culture and technology. The project has been around for some time, but implementation was delayed due to the Corona pandemic. The model project is financed by the federal government and the state of Berlin.

The open door dates are July 4, Aug. 1, Sept. 5, Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5. Whether the free day will become permanent after that remains to be seen.
