“Small” Wacken to be held in the fall

After the world-famous metal festival Wacken was cancelled again in 2021 due to corona, a smaller version is now to take place in the fall, according to bild.de. With over 80,000 visitors, the Wacken festival is one of the largest in the world. So “smaller” doesn’t mean small by any means. The organizers are probably planning on 20 to 30 thousand visitors. It is only a question of the hygiene concept, which is why there is currently no upper limit.

From September 16 to 18, the small town of Wacken will once again be a meeting point for the metal community. Blind Guardian are being discussed as headliners. Doro Pesch and Skyline are also supposed to be there. Tickets are not yet available, but should be available at the end of June or beginning of July. There is no information about this on the festival site yet.
